Nashville, TN, August 15, 2023 – Lead Capital Partners (“LCP”), a healthcare-focused private equity firm investing in the lower middle market, announced the sale of its portfolio company, The Hardenbergh Group (“Hardenbergh” or the “Company”) to BV Investment Partners. LCP partnered with the Company’s founder, Mary Hardenbergh, as well as key members of management in 2015 and was able to significantly grow Hardenbergh over the course of its eight-year investment.
Founded in 1991, Hardenbergh is a market leader for interim non-clinical professional staffing, consulting, physician peer review and outsourced solutions to healthcare organizations. Throughout its history, Hardenbergh has focused on providing top-tier customer service and value-add solutions necessary for ensuring patient safety, care quality and regulatory compliance.
“Hardenbergh has established itself as a best-in-class platform for meeting the diverse needs of the Medical Staff Services Department and the key Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC) requirements of our clients,” said Daniel Hart, CEO of Hardenbergh. “Our partnership with LCP gave Hardenbergh the necessary runway, as well as the strategic and financial resources to grow our core business and expand into new service lines.”
“I would like to thank LCP and management for their support since 2015. I could not have imagined the scale we have achieved over the past eight years,” commented Mary Hardenbergh. “LCP and the superb leaders that have joined the team were the right partners for this phase of Hardenbergh’s growth and helped establish us as a superior player in the industry.”
Pryor Smartt, Managing Partner at Lead Capital Partners, added, “We greatly appreciate our partnership with Mary and the Hardenbergh management team. This was an excellent investment for LCP and is a strong endorsement of our long-term, partnership-driven investment approach in the lower middle market.”
